Insurance Roundtable of Baltimore Selects PSA as chairman Craig English

PSA Insurance and Financial Services of Hunt Valley announced that senior vice president Craig English has been selected as Chairman of the Insurance Roundtable of Baltimore.

Created in 1947, the Roundtable is comprised of 30 members including 20 agents from locally based insurance agencies and 10 representatives from insurance carriers. The group holds monthly meetings to discuss general business news and industry issues like the effect of the federal bailout plan on insurance companies, new requirements for new products, compensation for agents, re-insurance, and new laws. As chairman, English will develop and lead the dialogue, helping to identify and react to the most pertinent issues.

“Throughout his career, Craig has always worked on behalf of what’s best for his clients and the industry,” said PSA Managing Director Chip Lewis. “He is a trusted colleague who deserves the distinction of being a leading voice in the Baltimore insurance community.”

Since 1980, English has overseen PSA’s property and causality insurance division including commercial and personal lines as well as professional liability. In addition to the Insurance Roundtable of Baltimore, English has held leadership positions on many local and national insurance councils throughout his career.

“I’m looking forward to serving as chairman of this prestigious group,” English said. “I’ve been a member for many years and it is an honor to be selected by my peers. As chairman, I hope to provide leadership and insight to help everyone provide exceptional service and education to their clients.”

In business to protect and grow the assets of their clients since 1928, PSA Insurance and Financial Services is the largest independent firm in the region providing property and casualty insurance, employee benefits and retirement plan services. The company has more than 180 employees and recently moved to new office space at 11311 McCormick Road in Hunt Valley.
